Utility: Piece of jewelry; object with decorative purpose
Description: Most of the beads are black, there are only a few of green colour, decorated in “millefiori” technique that are strung on a hemp string, 91 cm long. The beads are round shaped, irregular. Chromatics: black or green background; white, silver, red, yellow decoration.
Economic sector: Glass beads worked in glass workshop; On the nowadays market this type of object cannot be found; there are glass jewelry on the market , the price varying between 30 – 40 lei (according the quality of material, the richness of the decoration or size). The interest for buying these pieces is raised among youth, museums or private collectors. Nowadays in Romania are about 20 crafts that use beads (plastic not glass) in embroidery or jewelry manufacturing.
